Consider the Source!

On the second day of class I gave you a lesson in "considering the source" -- an "article" from The Onion.

It's one of a number of media sources -- Stephen Colbert's show on Comedy Central would be another -- that takes a satirical look st the news.  Satire can be funny, yet quite serious at the same time.

This class should be a jumping off point for you.  Take what you learn about in here, and take it and run.  Take a look at the other stories in the Onion -- but be careful -- it can be at times PG-13 or even r-rated.  (Maybe that's why you can't access it at school -- or at least I can't.  You probably can.)
